Our company had its start as Hoj Engineering & Sales Co., Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT on January 1, 1964, for the purpose of providing material handling equipment and systems to industry located primarily in the Intermountain Region.
For the first 13 years sales in Idaho were handled from the Salt Lake City office. In 1977 we opened the Boise office of Idaho Material Handling to better service our customers in Southwest Idaho. The Boise office now consists of 10 people including a full service department for lift trucks, conveyor systems and overhead crane work.
In 1982 we opened an office in Idaho Falls to service Eastern Idaho. We have grown with the industrial expansion in material handling systems, from a one-man company in 1964 to over 120 people today, all of which are trained in their specific areas of expertise from engineering to maintenance of material handling equipment.
Over the years we have successfully completed projects, not only in Utah and Idaho but also in many other states and a few foreign countries. By combining representation of major U.S. material handling equipment manufacturers with our “in house” capabilities of mechanical, structural and electrical design, we solve most material handling problems in a cost-effective way. Our size and independent status from the manufacturing plants allows us to use the best products and solutions for your project regardless of brand name with quick turn around time!
