The Lithium Powered PTT60 Pedestrian Tow Tractor and RPL44 Rider Pallet Truck Feature Unique Attributes to Move Carts and Pallets Smartly & Safely.

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Two highly innovative material handling machines featuring integrated lithium power supplies are available starting today from Big Joe Forklifts. The RPL44 Rider Pallet Truck and PTT60 Pedestrian Tow Tractor feature extremely compact chassis designs and power steering that can provide significant operational advantages in numerous material handling applications. These new additions to the Big Joe line-up include onboard 120vac chargers and several unique attributes that address many of today’s common material handling challenges, while including support for future autonomous development.

Wisconsin Dells, WI – March 28, 2022 – Big Joe Forklifts will be previewing several new products with a look toward the future at this month’s MODEX trade show in Atlanta.  Front and center will be the company’s vision for a new breed of semi-autonomous machines known as “co-bots” or collaborative robots which keep humans in the loop within material handling workflows to deliver maximum value. 

Unique to Big Joe’s approach is their concept of User Directed Automation, where small autonomous machines empower workers as a force multiplier so people can focus on higher value-added work while robots attend to mundane tasks.  Showcasing this concept at MODEX will be Big Joe’s User Directed Pallet Mover nicknamed “BUD” (pictured above), which features a simple onboard tablet and cloud connection to drive autonomously on custom missions once an operator manually loads a pallet and tells it where to go.

This innovative, built-to-order line of high performance forklifts features four platforms with capacities ranging from 2,000lbs to 5,000lbs.  Base units  can be customized in almost every aspect, including: straddle length, straddle width, carriage size, carriage type, carriage width, mast height, hydraulic settings, and the battery box.  PDX trucks are engineered and manufactured in our Wisconsin Dells factory with nearly 100% USA component content.
