CASE STUDY: PDQ / ERP
PDQ / ERP located in St Charles, IL is one of the Nation’s largest suppliers of appliance parts, processing over 3,000 picks to fill more than 400 orders per day. Operations Manager Oscar Davila found that they had reached the performance limit in terms of working height and weight with their fleet of Crown WAVs. Searching for more capabilities, he visited Big Joe at Promat, and found the J1 Joey. After arranging a demo with his local dealer, PDQ / ERP purchased two J1 Joeys. Subsequent purchases have brought their fleet up to six J1 Joeys and two J2 Joeys with plans to expand to a total of ten J1s, as the WAVs are phased out completely. Find out more by reading the Case Study here. Check out the brochure for the J1 Joey here.
CASE STUDY: KRONES INC
Krones, Inc., located in Franklin, Wisconsin is the US headquarters for the world’s leading manufacturer of bottle handling and packaging equipment. Sustained growth had led to an overstocked warehouse, using unsafe rolling ladders to access stock resulting in general inefficiency and creating the potential for serious employee injury. Krones incorporated the J1 Joey, along with repositioned and condensed aisles to increase their inventory storage without construction, and eliminate a serious risk to employee safety. “What made the Joey the right decision for us is we were able condense the warehouse, double our storage capacity, increase our productivity, all at the same time making it safer for employees. It’s an all-around win-win for us,” said Jim Brantner, Head of Warehouse.
